Corbel/Getech helping to raise £1598.00 for a worthy cause.

A few weeks ago a budding team of 10 Chris Hoy wannabes took part in the annual Headway Eastern Region Charity Cycle Ride.  The aim was to help raise funds and awareness of acquired brain injury and to promote the services offered by Headway.

Ready for the off: Jonthan Porter, Andrew Turner, Steven Utteridge, Paul Lough, Karen Cadman, Hayden Ellis, Rebecca Brown, Terry Coote, Paul Hunter, Keiron Orris

Starting from Epsilon House, Ipswich, our team of enthusiasts took it upon themselves to complete the return journey from Ipswich to Bury St Edmunds and back again.  The ride took our team through some lovely scenic and rural parts of Suffolk and although the challenge wasn’t without it’s incidents (team members colliding with each other, slight detours taking a few members more than 10 miles over the pre-determined mileage!) in whole it was a fantastic and enjoyable day.

The relationships between the 6 members who partook the ride on Tandem bicycles was tested to say the least, however we are happy to advise that there were no casualties and everyone is once again friends!

More importantly, Corbel/Getech helped to raise a magnificent £1598.00 for the worthy cause, all team members agreed that the aching muscles and sore bottoms were well worth the effort.

The end to an exhausting day.
