International Women’s Day 2018

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2018, we sat down with Karen Rogers, Sales Director and shareholder of Corbel to ask her a few simple questions about her career and working life.

What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?

“When I became Sales Director at Corbel, a business I have grown up in and learnt a lot from. Becoming Sales Director was a result of years of hard work”

What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on?

“Simply.. Never stop building meaningful relationships”

What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?

“I guess it has to be my Mother,  which you might think is a strange answer. My mum taught me from any early age that I could be anyone I wanted to be as long as I kept on trying and worked hard, looked hurdles in the eye and kept going.”

What would you go back and tell your younger self if you could?

“You won’t remember the good things people say but you must forget the bad things”

If you could swap to any job in the world, what would it be?

“Professional Sportswoman – Always loved sport and exercise!”
