Corbel were delighted to have been shortlisted for SME of the Year at this year’s Suffolk Business awards. The award ceremony held on July 4th at the beautiful setting of The Hanger, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall showcased the very best of Suffolk, with over 30 vibrant businesses shortlisted within 10 categories.
On behalf of Team Corbel Karen Hubbard, Ian Little and Karen Rogers our Managing Director, attended the glorious Summer evening in their finery. Greeted with a glass of bubbly, amongst live music in the stunning surroundings of the hall, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with other nominees before enjoying a sumptuous 3 course meal, with drinks provided by Adnams, whilst comedian Tom Allen entertained with his sharp wit as he hosted the evening and the awards ceremony kicked off.
The SME of the year award, sponsored by Beckett Investment Management Group, is a highly sought-after award recognising the quality, innovation and ingenuity of small and medium enterprises within our region. For us to be shortlisted in this category alongside such respected businesses was a huge accolade, as a Suffolk company born and bred, we are immensely proud of our staff, our customers and our community. Unfortunately, Corbel were not the winners on the night but we still brought back a shiny finalist trophy that has taken pride of place in our awards cabinet.
“It was an honour to be shortlisted for SME of the Year” says Karen Rogers, Corbels Managing Director. “Corbel are a company that operates on a set of Core values to continually deliver our customers the very best proactive service, one that always places people at the core of what we do. We have had a lovely evening alongside Suffolk’s most exciting businesses and we would like to congratulate all of the winners especially Bishop and Miller Auctioneers”
Through a promise to research and development, Corbel are at the forefront in this everchanging industry. Moving away from the world of dusty old in-house architecture, to a world where IT empowers customers, not hinders their progress and growth. Corbel opens up a new way forward, with easier collaboration, flexible working, and the peace of mind that comes with dedicated protection from modern-day cyber threats. “To be shortlisted as one of the top 4 SMEs in the region is a huge honour.” says Paul Lough, Corbels CEO “This year we have seen more growth and we are striving to continue our innovation to ensure we stay at the forefront of our industry. We’re more committed than ever to providing our customers and our staff with exceptional services. It is an honour to have been recognised for the work we are doing, we are so proud of our team and all their continued hard work”
2019 has been another successful year for Corbel. Our award winning innovation has been recognised across a number of platforms and initial plans are in place for an exciting year ahead with continued expansion of our staff and services.
Well done to all the finalists and winners. We are lucky to be part of such a vibrant business community. We’re already looking forward to the Suffolk Business Awards 2020!
