Most of us are using the Microsoft 365 suite regularly to perform our daily tasks. Outlook, Word and Excel are like second homes for us, but there are other Apps in Office 365 that you could be taking advantage of.
You’ve probably heard of OneDrive but, if you haven’t, it’s Microsoft’s answer to services like Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud. It’s your own personal storage on the cloud that you can take around and sync with you wherever you are.
Your subscription to Microsoft 365 allows you to have up to 1TB of active storage in the cloud, pretty useful in my opinion!
Yammer is like Microsoft’s answer to Facebook. Think of it as social media for the work place, it works very similarly to traditional social media but allows you to interact with members of your team and post content that’s useful for everyone to see.
An easy way to collaborate and engage with your colleagues. Whiteboard gives you what it says on the tin really, a way to be able to collaborate with your colleagues using a virtual whiteboard.
With Microsoft 365 working as it is this means you can collaborate and work with people outside of your organisation that use 365 too. It’s a real quick way to get ideas down in meetings and project overviews etc.
Power automate is an IT Engineers dream! Quickly automate manual tasks between apps in 365 and save yourself hours of manual moving, inputs and data entry. It’s a powerful automation tool with a really easy to use front end that you can take advantage of straight out of the box.
There’s a lot to say about Power Automate and it’s a complex app to tackle, we suggest you dig in and learn what you want to with it and see if you can automate some business processes to make your life easier! Or alternatively, work with IT experts, such as Corbel in Ipswich, who can work with businesses to understand your repeat processes and help implement efficiencies.
Digitise all your forms with Microsoft Forms. This lets you take the mundane box ticking task and build it into a form that you can easily share within your team and with third parties.
I’ve used this for new starter forms in the past as well as a quick way to gauge an opinion and survey groups of users and staff. It’s very a useful tool that is often forgotten about.
The Microsoft ecosystem is forever growing, and new applications are being built on and released all the time. Our biggest advice is dig into anything you haven’t seen before by doing some research and reading some of the Microsoft Support articles regarding the app you’re interested in! Contact the Corbel team on info@corbel.co.uk to make sure you are maximising the value in your Microsoft 365 subscription.
As always, as your local IT support experts in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Colchester and surrounding areas, Corbel are IT Specialists in Office 365 and as a 365 Migration Partner can offer solutions and technical support across all applications within the Microsoft 365 portfolio.
