It’s been a very festive month here at the Corbel HQ…

From decorating the office to spread a little bit of Christmas joy, to getting involved with local charities and events – it’s been a very busy December for Corbel and we wouldn’t have it any other way! So, sit back, grab a festive drink and have a read of what the Corbel HQ have been up to this month.

Corbels Gift of Giving

Each week this December, Corbel have gotten involved with local charities and events in order to give back to the local community and those who may be needing some help/support during this time. Corbel recognise that 2022 has been a difficult year for so many people and wanted to do our bit to help out and spread some Christmas Cheer whilst we were at it.

Week One – Cuppa

To kick off the first week of the gift of giving, we visited the lovely Sarah at local Felixstowe coffee shop, Cuppa. Cuppa hold a range of events/clubs the local community throughout the year and Corbel donated to this year’s annual Christmas lunch.

Cuppa hold the Christmas lunch every year for those who may be on their own, struggling financially or facing any other pressures. The lunch is free for attendees, and it is made possible by the donations of the local community. Corbel are feeling very inspired by what Sarah is doing and were glad to be able to make a small contribution to such a lovely event which we are sure means so much to the people she is helping.

Here’s a picture of one of our team members with the lovely Sarah:

Week Two – Christmas Jumper Day

On Thursday 8th of December, Corbel took part in the annual Christmas Jumper Day, donning a range of festive knits as seen below! It was all in great cause of the well-known charity Save the Children and Corbel were glad to have been a part of it!

Week Three – Fresh Start New Beginnings

For the second week of the gift of giving, we got involved in some volunteering with local charity Fresh Start New Beginnings (FSNB). FSNB work throughout Suffolk and Norfolk to provide a therapeutic service for children and young people up to 18 years who have reported being sexually abused and to offer support for their families.

In support of the local charity, two of Corbel’s team members headed down to M&S Ipswich (Santa hats at the ready) and spent Monday and Tuesday morning helping customers pack their shopping and collecting donations for the local charity.

They were two very positive mornings, and Corbel were proud to be a part of it. We also were involved with the charity back in June to take part in the annual Dragon Boat race, an excellent day, with some amazing money raised – check out our blog on the Dragon Boat race here. We look forward to getting involved with the charity again for future events.

In case you missed it, here is a photo from the morning:

Week Four – Foodbank

For the final week of Corbel’s gift of giving, we headed down to local foodbank Families in Need (FIND) to donate a box of goods from the Corbel team.

FIND have been around for over 30 years and provide free food and personal care parcels to help people get through a crisis. They help those who are deprived of a minimum standard of living, whether they are single, families, lone parents, children, elderly, sick, disabled or homeless.

Corbel are feeling very inspired by the actions of the charity and are glad to have donated to such a great cause. Here’s our very own Florin Oprea helping get the heavy box of donations into the car!

Corbel Christmas Wrap Up 2022

In order to get in the Christmas spirit and wish our lovely customers a very Merry Christmas – we decided to make things a little different at the Corbel HQ this year.

And so, we put our drawing skills to the test and as a result created the Corbel Christmas Wrap Up 2022.

The wrap up was a chance to celebrate the teams wins, no matter how big or small and take a trip down memory lane to review what’s happened in this whirlwind a year! If you missed it, don’t worry – you can check it out here:

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish our lovely customers a very Happy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year! Corbel would like to thank you for your continued business during a brilliant year and we look forward to working with you again in 2023!
