Twelve Years of Corbel Solutions: Celebrating Our Journey, People & Progress

This May, we’re celebrating a special milestone — 12 years since we officially became Corbel Solutions. While our roots in IT go back over three decades, this anniversary marks 12 years of operating under the Corbel name: a new chapter that began with a fresh focus, a growing team, and a renewed commitment to delivering outstanding IT services.

From a Small Team to a Trusted Local Partner

Our story started over 30 years ago as a small IT division within Getech Limited. With just two people and a big ambition, we set out to provide reliable, tailored IT support to local businesses. In 2013, we stepped out on our own as Corbel Solutions — and the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, we’re a dedicated team of 15, operating from our newly relocated offices (as of March 2025) and supporting more than 50 businesses across Suffolk and beyond. Our service offerings have grown too — from traditional IT Support to Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Disaster Recovery, IT Consulting, and Cloud Telephony. We’re proud to hold both ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials certifications, underlining our commitment to best practice and data security.

Recognition, Innovation, and Resilience

In 2024, we were honoured to be shortlisted for the EADT Customer Excellence Award — a reflection of the strong client relationships we’ve built. We’ve also been recognised for innovation and named Cloud Partner of the Year, affirming our forward-thinking approach in a fast-paced industry.

Through decades of rapid change, we’ve remained agile — embracing remote work, advanced Cyber Security, and more recently, AI and automation. Our goal has always been to empower clients with the right tools to grow confidently, securely, and sustainably.

Corbel has always been about people — not just our clients and our team, but our community too. From local business partnerships to supporting charitable causes like the MS Society, St Elizabeth Hospice and community food banks, we’re proud to play an active role in Suffolk’s growth and wellbeing.
