Monte Carlo – the outcome…

The Corbel Blog

The outcome… Well as you know a crack team of four motoring enthusiasts (Comprising: Paul Lough, Les Baker, Michael Peck and Keiron Orris) from Corbel entered the 2014 Monte Carlo or Bust Banger Rally. Their aim, apart from completing the challenge in one piece and to still remain friends, was to raise lots of much needed funds for two charities that Corbel work closely with, Headway Essex and Orwell Mencap.

The Trip
The trip started well, the boys left on time, caught the train and arrived in France, fresh and raring to go… once in France they travelled 750 miles to Monte Carlo in a £250 ‘banger’ to complete the 2014 ‘Monte Carlo or Bust Banger Rally Adventure.’

During the three day rally, the team completed numerous  challenges including taking a photo at pit 13 on the Grand Prix circuit in Reims and acquiring a bar of soap from a hotel, in addition to modelling a number of fetching fancy dress outfits.
Paul Lough, Director at Corbel said: “We had a great team adventure with plenty of fun and laughs. Although our trusty steed gave up when we arrived in Monte Carlo, we still made it back in one piece and we are thrilled with the amount of money we have raised for our two chosen charities. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their donations!”

We Raised
We are delighted to have raised £1295.00 for our charities and could not have done that without the support of the following generous donations from our clients: Antistat, Arkray, Crafted, Factair, Getech, Maritime Transport, Marks and Mann, Peter Best Insurance, VPSS and Whittle and Co.

In addition, we received personal donations from our colleagues, clients, relatives and friends on the two websites we created.
